Draftedly vs Proposify: Which Is Better for Freelancers?
Proposify is a proposal tool built for sales teams and agencies. It has a content library, approval workflows, tracking and analytics, and a pricing structure designed around seats and sending volume.
Draftedly is built for one person sending proposals and wanting to get signed and paid in the same moment.
Both are good at what they were designed for. This post explains how they differ so you can pick the one that matches how you work.
Proposify's pricing and features were checked in October 2026 on its own website. Plans change, so confirm current details on Proposify's pricing page before you decide.

Pricing for a solo freelancer
On paper the entry price looks comparable. Proposify's entry plan is $35 a month billed annually, which is $420 a year, or $49 a month if you pay monthly.
The detail that changes the math is the send allowance. The entry plan includes 10 sends a month, then charges $0.50 for each additional one. If you send a handful of proposals a month it will not matter. If you send in bursts, it adds up and makes you think about every send.
Draftedly Pro is $144 a year billed annually, with unlimited sent proposals. The free plan includes 10 sent proposals with payments, so you can run real projects before paying anything.
If you grow into a team, Proposify's seat based plans are designed for that. Draftedly is built for one person today, with team workspaces on the way.
Getting paid
On Draftedly, the client opens one link, signs, and pays the deposit without leaving the page. Deposits and milestone payments go through Stripe Connect into your own Stripe account. Draftedly does not hold your money and adds no per-proposal fee. Stripe's standard processing fees apply.
Proposify's strengths are on the sending, tracking, and approval side. If collecting payment inside the proposal is central to how you close work, look carefully at which payment options each plan includes before committing.

How the proposal looks
Proposify works from templates and a reusable content library, which is excellent when many people on a team need to produce consistent proposals.
Draftedly is aimed at one person who wants the proposal to feel like their own work. You build it block by block, choose from eight visual styles, and apply your logo and brand color once so it carries through.
Whatever you use, the content has to do the heavy lifting. Our guide to writing a freelance proposal that actually gets signed covers what to include.
Where Proposify is the better choice
- You have a team. Roles, approvals, and a shared content library are core features.
- You need an API or deeper automation. Available on its team plans.
- You want AI help writing. Proposify includes AI writing tools. Draftedly does not.
- You send high volumes with consistent content. The content library is built for reuse.
- Your sales process lives in a CRM. Proposify offers integrations, with premium ones as paid add-ons.
If that sounds like your business, Proposify is a serious option and Draftedly is too small for you.
Where Draftedly is the better choice

- Presentation is part of your brand. Eight styles and your own branding.
- You want to be sending proposals today. No team setup or onboarding.
The verdict
